Day of Surgery

  • Arrive on time, with a responsible adult who will be driving you home
  • No eating, drinking or smoking including gum or hard candy
  • Wear loose, comfortable clothing, Wear comfortable shoes that are safe and sturdy for safe walking after surgery. You will be changing into a surgical gown for your procedure.
  • Do not wear any jewelry (including body piercing and watches), makeup, lotion or fragrance.
  • Do not bring any valuables with you.
  • Bring your driver’s license and insurance cards with you.
  • Wearing contact lenses is NOT advised.
  • We will provide containers for removable dentures, bridgework and hearing aids.
  • If your child is having surgery, feel free to bring a favorite stuffed animal or security blanket for added assistance
  • Please follow any special instructions given to you by your surgeon or nurse from the surgery center
